I have a wide range in training. I have worked with children, adolescents and their families on a variety of life issues. In working with adults, I specialize in depression, anxiety, grief, adjustment or transitions, trauma, "stuckness," reconciliations and relationships.
I provide a safe, supportive space. This means no judgement, no interpretation, and no orders. You can be who you are, where you are.
You are already your own expert on yourself and with your permission you let me follow. We negotiate together how to optimize your experience of living and we continue to build on that.
I come from a multidisciplinary and multicultural background and have worked with clients from many cultural backgrounds. My approach can be defined as integrative because I understand that we are all unique and therapy is tailored to your goals and needs. I use a variety of therapeutic models according to your needs. I am particularly conscious of the importance a role culture can play in therapy. In my understanding of culture, I include, age, gender, orientation spirituality, economics as well as heritage.
Therapy can be brief and solution-focused, or defined for longer deeper exploration around an ongoing issue. We are on your timeline.
